Look at this cool organizing tip...

I am a fan of Martha Stewart {this is not a surprise to those who know me well}. Many of my girlfriends and MIL have often called me "Martha," but in a good way. I love her style, creative nature, and ideas. I thought this one was super cute and I may have to try it in our new home in TN. Great way to organize frequently used ribbons or plastic grocery bags {if you still use them}. I am sure there are many more things you could use it for as well.

Just thought I would share...oh and using metal paint to paint them out would look cute too!

Coming to the website...frozen vino. If you have followed the blog for a while or know me...you have heard me talk about frozen vino. During December, I experienced this frozen dream in Richmond while shopping at a trade show with my SNL. Since I am such a fan and every time I serve it at party...people are always asking where they can purchase it...I have decided to carry it on the website. It will be put on the website next week. Just in time for your summer parties. Also, if you live in the Hampton Roads area...I will have samples at the Open House May 15 & 16.

The best auto trash bags ever...

So, if you have rode in my minivan, you know that it looks like most {mother of three kids} vans...MESSY! Before children {well after I had more than one} my vehicle was clean. In order to control the mess, paper, trash I have tired SEVERAL different things. Nothing worked until now and everyone who has seen my new trash bags...well they want two for their own car. Guess what? I decided to carry them on the website. I will feature four great designer fabrics and may add more after a while. I know you'll love them as much as I do. Finally, a solution to the messy family car that looks fabulous and is functional too!

We are so excited to bring our customers a unique line of rhinestone and Swarovski crystal embellished tees. They are for babies, girls, ladies, moms, and pregnant mama's to be! Getting caught up...

With the kids home for Spring Break this week and my mother visiting from Ft. Worth, the website was put on hold. Not really, but I have been trying to catch up on orders {while my mom is here}. I am almost complete finishing pending ETSY orders and have put both shops on vacation. It is the only way I will be able to continue working on the website. I am currently adding new products daily. Keep checking back for more information.

Today, I am going to take the kids to the park. We are suppose to have a 70 degree day today! Yea. We going to go outside and enjoy some vitamin D. All of us are on the brink of getting colds, so I am trying to avoid this.

I am a huge fan of Martha Stewart & Paula Deen. I just love how Ms. Paula ends her shows with "I'll see you next time, ya'll," "Merry Christmas, ya'll," and so on. She seems like the nicest person ever!

The fabulous fun that comes with being preppy...

This new line we are carrying {hint: the ribbon belts are up on the website already} are so preppy & so fun! This line has flip flops to include sizes for toddlers & kids. They also have styles for tweens and of course some smashing fun designs for adults. The coolest thing... they have colleges {so you scream Go TEAM on your feet} & sororities...really how fabulous is that? I really wish I had these in college.

The cutest client...

Ms. K's mom and I went to high school together {a long time ago} in Oceanside, CA. Thanks to facebook we reconnected and she purchase one of our couture hats for Ms. K's first birthday. These are her first birthday photos ~ isn't she the cutest? I told her sweet Mama that she needs to be a model. Ms. K's father is quite a talented musician. Can we say busy?

Besides working the website, which you know about I am also busy filling orders from ETSY & local clients. While I am working, my little human tornado {Riley} loves to destroy the house. Since I think I would be considered a workaholic {well sometimes} I have to tear away from my time suck ~ the computer to do laundry & clean up after my destructive two-year-old. Of course I cannot get upset with her or then she looks at me with her big brown eyes and just mets my heart! UGG!

Hope everyone is having a productive day! I wish our warm weather here in Virginia would return. I am looking forward to summer!

New Business Cards

I did a show this weekend at my little girl's elementary school and one of the other vendor's present was Vemma. Southlake, Texas

I am just sitting here thinking about all the exciting things 2009 is bringing my way. I am looking forward to a move this summer. I love exploring new places. I am also looking forward to being closer to my Mom & Dad. I am such a "Mama's girl" as my husband lovingly says! There is nothing wrong with that. This year did not start off great, as I lost my dearest Grandma J to cervical cancer. I re-evaluated my life and I am taking chances and living life to the fullest. Or at least trying to.

I am excited about visiting my parents this summer. They live near Southlake, TX and if you are ever in the Ft. Worth area, you must visit Southlake! It is a great place for shopping, dining, and just walking around outside enjoying the view.

GUMP ART SHOW

If you are in Hampton Roads, there is a fabulous preschool in Norfolk called GUMP. The main reason GUMP has grown into such a wonderful school is because of the director, Betty Casey. Betty has been a huge supporter & continuously encouraged me with my business. I am very grateful for her constant support and enthusiam.
To return the favor, I always support the GUMP Art Show. This is an annual event held by the school to raise money. The money raised through this event is always given back to the children through programs or improvements to GUMP.
This year, Monkey See Boutique is donating a PRINCESS basket of hair accessories along with a gift certificate to our website {launching next month!} for $25.00.

Website & Blog Update

I have been super busy logging products into the website. It is getting addicting and I have little competitions with myself to see if I can input more each day! The final website look & template is not up yet, but will be soon. I cannot wait for you to see them!

I have also been busy completing the brand. Designing my cards, labels, gift certificates and other fun items. It has been fun and a labor of love!

I will write more soon. It is past my bedtime tonight. I must catch up on some sleep.

A working girl...

I have been super busy at home getting ready for our move to Bartlett, TN. We sold our house here in Virginia in 8 days. Who says the economy is rough? I was thankful we sold it because everything was put on hold while we were showing the house. It is amazing how many messes three kids & a home business can make in a house within 10 minutes! I felt like I was constantly cleaning.

I am busy catching up on orders and preparing for a show this weekend at Butts Road Primary school. I am also working into the morning hours {past 1 am} to get the website complete and officially running by May!

I am posting a picture of the house we are renting in TN. We are thrilled to have found a fabulous house, great neighborhood, and wonderful school!
